A walk on Troopers Hill, east Bristol.

This circular walk climbs Troopers Hill to the old chimney. Here are spectacular views along the River Avon and across the city of Bristol. The path then follows a path through woodland to an area of allotments, before decending down a narrow lane to the River Avon.

Troopers Hill has been quarried for stone and mined for coal. The chimney is a relic of the copper smelting industry...

This circular walk takes the walker along the River Avon past Riverside cottages before cutting into deep woodland.
